The Lower Brule Sioux Tribe

Secretary-Treasurer

Marty Jandreau

Marty Jandreau was sworn in as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe on October 2, 2024. Marty will also serve as Sergeant-At-Arms for the 2024-2026 term.

Marty spent the first 20 years of his life participating in the Rodeo Arena. After that, Marty spent most of his time building and maintaining his ranch on the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe. Marty had previously run for the South Dakota Legislature in House District 26B, he ran because he felt that he could provide input on issues related to the Agricultural Industry in the state. In the 2024 LBST Tribal Council Election Marty decided to run after realizing the tribes need for a deeper understanding on issues within the Agriculture and Natural Resources areas for the tribe.

Marty is excited about working for the people and learning more about the tribe’s operations. Marty will have an open-door policy, meaning everyone is welcome to stop in and express their concerns or just visit.
